Christmas has arrived early this year for San Franciscans with the announcement of the Bacon Bacon Truck. The new Bacon Bacon Truck will be joining the ranks of other popular food trucks sweeping the Bay Area and at Off the Grid. The mastermind behind this treasure is Jim Angelus, former GM at E & O and bacon savant. Bacon Bacon will launch mid-July with Off the Grid and be parked around town and available for private parties starting in two weeks. You can follow and find the Bacon Bacon truck via their twitter.
Nowadays, bacon is popping up in everything from cupcakes to gumballs to Baconnaise, a bacon flavored mayonnaise. The Bacon Bacon truck will feature 6 delicious bacon treats: pork belly and fried egg, grilled cheese and bacon, L.G.B.T (lettuce, goat cheese, bacon and tomato), pork meatball bahn mi, broccoli rabe with bacon, and the soon to be famous “Bacon Bacon Burger.” Side dishes are also available and feature a “bouquet of bacon” (literally a side of just bacon) and french fries with rosemary and sage, salted and topped with parmesan or “dirty” covered in fried pork belly trimmings. To wash all the bacon down, the truck will be featuring Devil’s Canyon root beer on tap.
