You can join Lake Solano volunteer, Barbara Cooper, this Saturday, July 9, 2011 for a free, 2-hour, guided nature hike starting at 10 AM. Barbara will share insights about native plants, their inter-relationships with other living species, and their dependence on the water from Putah Creek. The walk will be along the shoreline, so the trail will be relatively flat. Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes and bring protection from the sun – sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and water. All ages are welcome.
Participants should meet at the courtyard next to the Lake Solano Park Nature Center at 8685 Pleasants Valley Road, Winters, CA. Driving directions, .
Details and suggestions:
- The tour is free, but parking is $5 per vehicle, payable across the road on the other side of the park.
- You can bring binoculars and cameras.
