Amazing Retreats has announced that is it set to spend £8.85 million on its conference, events and leisure product this year. The hire specialists has already acquired Kinnettles near Dundee and Plas Rhianfa in Anglesey and aims to renovate several of its venues. As a result, £750,000 will be spent on gardens and outdoor space to develop marquee areas, planting and seating areas. It will also add new bedrooms, kitchens, pools, hot tubs, gysm, spas, tennis courts and games rooms across five of its properties. “As the leaders in exclusive hire of historic and unusual properties in the UK it is important for us to ensure the portfolio remains interesting and diverse for both business and leisure guests, as well as ensuring that our properties provide the high standards expected of an Amazing Retreat,” said Mike Clare, founder and executive chairman of Amazing Retreats. The investment follows the £30 million spent last year.
