DoubleTree by Hilton has revealed the designs for its new hotel in Lincoln. The property will open at the end of this year and is being developed by Brayford Hotels on the Brayford Wharf North in Lincoln. It will include a rooftop bar and contemporary restaurant which can be reached by a panoramic glass lift. Its 115 rooms, 550m2 of meeting space and other facilities will have a modern feel but retain the building’s original features. The site was once the city’s electricity substations and the hotel will incorporate the original wood and metal from Lincoln’s past. “Our aim with this hotel design is to create a luxurious and welcoming space, which is contemporary, but still in keeping with the surrounding landscape and architecture,” said Leigh Hall, a director of Brayford Hotels.
