Watercolorist premieres work at Ste. Gen Art Walk

Watercolorist Ali Cavanaugh

In January, I had the pleasure of visiting Ste. Genevieve and attending the well-organized and classy Art Walk. See story here. The March version will feature something special.

Nationally recognized watercolorist Ali Cavanaugh will premiere her new exhibit, “Arcs & Angles” at the Merchant Street Gallery in downtown Ste. Genevieve during the town’s Art Walk on March 25.

The exhibit is billed as a “sensitive study of the female form which exhibits the artist’s mastery of her medium and which, in Cavanaugh’s words, ‘explores the complexity within thought and emotion.’”

Cavanaugh has had over 40 solo and group exhibitions in galleries throughout the United States. Her art has been featured in numerous publications including the cover art for American Art Collector.

The Art Walk takes place the fourth Friday of each month from 6 to 9 p.m. in historic downtown Ste. Genevieve. Over a dozen studios and galleries participate in the event.

Ali Cavanaugh’s work can be previewed at her website: alicavanaugh.com.
